Nail Art Using Stencil – Tutorial

Hey there,

Hello gals if you are bored with the plain nail polish here’s some easy nail art that looks great on long nails as well as short nails. We are going to use a nail art stencil sticker, which makes it super duper easy and here’s the complete tutorial.




Nail art stencils are easily available online. You can buy a bunch of them of different designs and style your nails everyday. So, let’s get started ☺.

Things You Will Need

  • Base coat
  • Quick dry Top coat
  • Make up sponge
  • White Nail Polish
  • Purple and Pink nail polishes
  • Nail art stencil stickers
  • cotton swab
  • Nail Polish Remover
  • Tweezers
  • Scissors

  • Clean up your nails, using Remover clear up all the left over old polish. Apply a good quality Base coat.
  • Choose a Base color which should be in the lighter shade so that the nail art design looks sharp and clear on it. I have chosen opaque white color. Apply first coat of Base color. Then get the second coat done and wait for few mins.

  • Apply the quick dry Top coat. Now peel off the stencil sticker and first stick over a paper (so that stencil gets cleared). And now press it against your nail, using scissors cut the edges of the stencil so that it sticks properly to your nail.

  • Grab the sponge and apply the two nail polishes Pink & Purple(you can use any medium to dark colors of your choice) over it, apply 3-4 brushes over the sponge.

  • Now press the sponge over the nail covered stencil. Once you feel that the color is perfectly applied, using the tweezers carefully take off the stencil. Repeat the process for all nails.

  • You can see the beautiful shaded colored design!! If any color sticks over the skin, remove it using a cotton swab. Just dab the cotton swab in polish remover and clean the edges and extra polish on the skin.



  • To give it a finishing touch, apply top coat. And its done ☺! Try experimenting different colors and designs.
