Chia seeds are considered as one of the super food, reason? coz it’s packed with Omega 3, high in anti oxidants and minerals like Iron,Magnesium,Potassium,Calcium etc. I just love the way these seeds feel on tongue when they swell, the gel like seeds are absolutely great for weight loss as well.
There are many chia seeds recipes, but my personal favorite is this fruit and nut chia pudding. Love this totally! It’s easy and make a healthy and wholesome breakfast, that keeps me active in mornings. I have shared a few chia seeds recipes in my earlier blog, you can check out those too in the links below.
Chia seeds in particular are beneficial to those trying to lose a few kgs, coz its keeps you feeling full, and reduces your food cravings. And if you are trying the vegan way, I am sure you must be struggling to deal with sweets cravings, as most of sweets are made with milk or dairy products. So, let’s take a peek into the recipe.
- 6 tsp Chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 tsp Honey/ Maple syrup
- 1.5 cup Almond milk
- 1 tsp roughly chopped Almonds
- Few chopped cashews
- 1 tbsp finely chopped apple and strawberries
- 1 tbsp of pomegranate seeds
In a glass jar, add chia seeds, Almond milk, honey and Vanilla extract.
Shake the jar, so that the ingredients are well mixed.
If you feel, they are not mixed well, again give it a whisk.
Now it’s time to refrigerate, so put it in refrigerator overnight.
Next morning, the seeds will be swollen and a thick pudding will be ready.
Now time to garnish it, add the chopped fruits and nuts, mix them and you are done!
It’s easy but amazingly delicious! I like to add different fruits and berries, and this makes it really very interesting, you won’t be bored of having it even every morning.
