Today I am going to talk about Green tea and its variations. Green tea have been the favorite topic even for many researchers, and you can find many articles over tea’s benefits in fighting cholesterol, heart problems, etc. For those who have been looking for weight loss, teas can be helpful. A cup of tea is not only refreshing but it help you relax your mind, the tension and work pressure and gives you again the enthusiasm to start with a new energy. Again too much of anything is not good, having 2-3 cups is always good but more than this may be harmful, and can cause headache, acidity, bloating problems.
Here is green tea and its variations i found really beneficial for health and even in weight loss.
1.Pure Green tea
Green tea is very popular when it comes to dealing weight loss. Many dietitians suggest having green tea in morning and evening. Green tea has EGCG type of catechin which helps boost the metabolism, burns the fat in our body and lowers cholesterol levels. Green tea is loaded with anti-oxidants which is great for our body as well as skin as it helps fight the free radicals in our body. Free radicals cause all the skin problems like aging, wrinkles, so green tea is even good for aging problem.
Green tea is best taken with honey and without milk and sugar, so that you don’t add up any calories from them and it rally tastes good with honey. Green tea along with honey adds up the benefits, as honey is very well known for increasing the immunity, it has great anti-microbial properties and it also helps in weight loss. 2.Green tea with ginger and lemon
This is my favorite tea for winter, a wonderful variation of green tea. If anytime you feel bored with having only green tea then just go for this variation. And its perfect tea for winter, it comes with ginger and lemon which helps us fight the cold, itchy throat, nasal congestion and dry cough. So, you get all the benefits of green tea and these additional health benefits and a super taste and lovely aroma.
You can add grated ginger 1/2 tsp and half tsp lemon juice. Or you can just buy it from the market. There are many brands and you can find this variation. I am not aware of any other brands, but you can search, but always check for the ingredients and brand-quality and its always better if its organic. Whenever i feel cold i just sip on this tea and feels really good.
3.Green tea with Tulsi
Green tea with Tulsi is another great combination. Tulsi is one of the important medicinal herb as we all know. Tulsi has great importance in Ayurveda as well, because of its anti-bacterial, anti-microbial properties. It is also used to cure many diseases and improves our health by increasing our immunity. I remember granny making “kaadha” whenever i had cold and cough. This is simpler version of it with green tea. There are many companies selling this green tea with Tulsi, so you can find one in the market for yourself.
