Amazing Benefits Of Pumpkin For Skin And Hair

Pumpkin is large sized orange vegetable, used to make variety of dishes and deserts. But this huge veggie is not only good for health but its great for skin and hair too. Pumpkins are packed with large amounts of nutrients that can make the skin glow and add volume and shine to hair.

For making Face packs and masks we are going to need Pumpkin puree. To make Pumpkin puree, take half Pumpkin, cut it into pieces and boil it, till it becomes soft. Then with help of the spoon smash it to form thick puree.

Anti-ageing benefits for skin

Pumpkins are the powerhouse of anti-oxidants which fights against the free radicals and repair cell damage. It helps in collagen production and helps the skin look younger. The wide variety of minerals present in Pumpkin reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Pumpkin for Fine lines,Wrinkles and dull skin

Take about two tablespoons of this puree and add egg white. You can add a few drops your favorite of essential oil. Mix them well and apply it evenly on the face. Let it sit for 20 mins till dry and the rinse it off with water.
This face mask helps to reduce the fine lines in two or three applications. You can use this face mask once a week for three weeks.
Pumpkin for Oily skin
Pumpkin is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin E which regulates the production oil on the skin. Mix two table spoon of Pumpkin puree with one tablespoon of corn starch and one teaspoon of lime juice. Apply it to the face and wait for 15 mins. Then rinse it off with cold water. This face pack absorbs the excess amount of oil from the skin and maintains the healthy oil balance on the skin. It also evens the skin tone and brightens the skin.

Pumpkin has many essential vital nutrients for skin which improves the health of the skin. Mix one tablespoon of Pumpkin puree
with one tablespoon of fresh cream and honey. This face pack is extremely nourishing and deep moisturizing. It heals the dry skin
and keeps it nourished.

Pumpkin has high amount of minerals such as Copper, Zinc, Potassium which help to cure acne. The enzymes present in Pumpkin makes the skin clear and glowing. It viatmin A and Vitamin C helps to reduce the acne marks and blemishes on the skin. Take about one tablespoon of Pumpkin puree add 1 teaspoon of fresh Tomato juice, one teaspoon honey
and pich of Turmeric powder. This face pack fights the bacteria and germs causing acne.

Also it is a good to apply a toner after cleansing the skin, as the toner tightens the pores and prevents formation of pimples and acne.

Pumpkin has high amount of minerals such as Zinc, Copper which promotes the hair growth. Vitamin E in it keeps the hair shiny and healthy.

Pumpkin Hair Mask for Strong, Thick Hair

Take about 3 tablespoon of Pumpkin paste, add one or two eggs depending on hair length. Now add one tablespoon of Olive oil and one tablespoon of Yogurt. Mix all the ingredients well and apply generous amount of it to the scalp and hair.
Keep it on hair for half an hour and then wash it off with herbal shampoo. Eggs are rich in proteins, which also helps the hair growth. Olive oil is rich in vitamin E, makes the hair thicker and shinier. Yogurt fights the dandruff problem and improves blood circulation to hair.

Pumpkin Hair Mask For Dry Hair and Split Ends

Take three tablespoon of Pumpkin puree and add one tablespoon of Apple Cider vinegar to the mixture to the hair. Keep it for 20 mins and then wash it off. It prevents split ends and promotes hair growth. Also tames the frizzy dry hair.
